2012: Apocolypse of the Dead

A worthy addition to your zombie film collection
This film adds a new element to the zombie encyclopedia and you should discern it in the first sequence. The general rules for zombies are well illustrated here, but the effects were used sparingly enough for me to keep disbelief well suspended, or at least keep a sense of plausibility. The acting at times strayed from my expectations, but that may have only been due to cultural differences. I got the impression that one character's behavior was set up in an earlier sequence that was cut from the film. As a catharsis, this film gets a passing grade. What's weird is that some of the women look so similar I was certain they were played by the same actor. There are some references to earlier films toward the end and humor begins to emerge. This reminds me of how I felt about the first Evil Dead film. Sequals to this film should be made because there is definitely cult-hit potential here. Next time avoid spending too much time on character conflict as part of a zombie plot.

Acting is poor
The idea that some secret development using the Bubonic Plague virus went out of control was fine. Then the zombie theme is the same as every other zombie movie and that is don't get bit and shoot 'em in the head.

I do not mind watching a good zombie flick even if it is the same theme but when the acting is as wooden as it is in this movie, then I have a problem of keeping my attention in the movie.

I made it about half through the movie and then I had to give this one up as dead on arrival acting and it was never going to get any better for this movie.

Don't bother to see this thing. It is too bad the zombies could not have gotten ahold of the director and script writer before they were able to get this movie to market.

The zombies should have eaten this one before it was released.
Lame copy cat of a genre that is being beaten to death (no pun intended). Found myself fast forwarding through most of it. Acting stinks with a predictable plot line. The zombies should have eaten this one before it was released. Right up there with "Autumn".
